My name is Lucie Šancová. I was looking for a path to physiotherapy for quite a long time. For many years, I worked as a lead pharmacist. Back then, I really missed the active approach of clients toward their own health. I decided to change direction and earned a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy at the Faculty of Sports Studies at MU in Brno, followed by a master's degree in applied physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Culture at UP in Olomouc.
At heart, I'm a climber and mountain lover. I enjoy high mountain hiking and wandering through Czech forests. I also recreationally run, cycle, and swim.
In my bachelor thesis, I focused on physiotherapy of fingers and hands for sport climbers, and I want to develop this topic further. I am also interested in the field of traumatology and orthopedics.
From professional courses, I have completed DNS A and B courses, Hand - how to prevent and solve pain in the hand area from the physiotherapist's perspective, Hand Injury Prevention (Fyzio Gym Cooper), Stability & Mobility with a focus on climbers (Fyzio Gym Cooper), Isele method (specialized therapy for finger and hand injuries of climbers, Klaus Isele), and several other courses.
Movement means life to me, and from my own experience, I know what it's like to drop out of training due to injury. Physiotherapy with an active approach from both the therapist and the client offers a way back.
